Another important difference is that Crusader HD's AI more or less plays with the same rules you do, whereas Crusader 2's AI cheats up the wazoo and is periodically given free resources, even if you have them completely surrounded. Subjectively, Crusader HD's nice 2d graphics are better than Crusader 2's blocky, jagged looking models, and the first game's engine just feels nicer. Just from looking at the numbers you get way more playtime out of Crusader HD, for a much lower price. Still has a number of bugs like the AI just building shit in your castle whenever it feels like it
